European Roundtables

Challenge

The UK Government Science and Innovation Network tasked us with organising a series of European roundtables where behavioural scientists, policymakers and industry representatives could discuss the role of behaviour change for net-zero across the energy, food and mobility sectors.

Solution

We defined the event format and content, sourced the best experts, and managed a complex stakeholder set to deliver three roundtables so far: a first introductory roundtable in 2022, a second one focused on energy behaviours in 2023, and a third one taking place in 2024 on food ecolabels. These roundtables are designed to spark cross-sector and transdisciplinary collaboration, accelerating the adoption of behavioural science solutions to reduce emissions and pollution in Europe.

Results

Each roundtable is attended by over 50 carefully selected experts from across Europe. They all express a strong desire for concrete actions to increase the use of behavioural science as a tool to reduce emissions and pollution. Each roundtable produces a report that is available to participants. A sample of output can be found here.
