UK Government’s Science and Innovation Network

Driving sustainability across Europe with behavioural science roundtables

Food Energy Mobility Workshop Decisionmakers UK Europe

The Challenge

The UK Government’s Science and Innovation Network wanted to accelerate the use of behavioural science to cut emissions across energy, food and mobility in Europe. It needed a credible way to bring the right scientists, policymakers and industry leaders to the same table, and to turn expert consensus into momentum for action.

Our Approach

We designed and ran a series of European roundtables end to end: shaping the format, curating the content and recruiting top experts across the continent. Across three editions, we moved from an introductory session on food, mobility and energy (2022) to energy behaviours (2023) and food ecolabels (2024), each built to spark cross-disciplinary collaboration and concrete next steps.

The Result

Each roundtable convened 50+ hand-picked experts and left participants strongly committed to scaling behavioural science against emissions. After every session we produced a report distilling the insights and next steps, giving the network actionable roadmaps for future collaboration. Across the programme: 54 European experts, 8 scientific advisors and an 80% satisfaction score.
