The Challenge

B Corps commit to high social and environmental standards, yet many struggle to fully engage employees in sustainability and certification efforts. B Lab Benelux asked Behaven to create a behavioural science toolkit with practical, actionable solutions that would mobilise employees and support (re)certification.

Our Approach

Through in-depth interviews with 15 B Corps, we used our Landscape Model™ to identify 20 barriers to employee engagement. From this, we built a 9-factor engagement framework and co-created 19 practical interventions with B Corps and B Lab Benelux, each backed by real-life examples and implementation guidance.

The Result

We delivered a structured, science-based toolkit that B Corps can adapt at their own pace, helping them engage employees more effectively and strengthen sustainability performance. The shared framework links directly to certification requirements, giving B Lab Benelux and its network clear tools and proven strategies to support active employee engagement.
